Quoting bakbek: Congrats Alfa, for getting Pro of the Week! This is really a great piece of work
Quoting GEES: Great render, definately high quality. However image/project does not look professional, looks more like a hobby render, something done in spare time. Blurring the lines of pro/amateur renders.
Quoting GEES: HI Pixela,
I am like your project, I think you did it really well, better than anything I have done. But looking at the title of the thread it is for Professional and I was questioning wether hobby renders are eligible for entry or even selection?
Well done on your selection. No critism on your work from me.
By the way Alfa your pflow workflow helped me out of a jam this week as i'd never really used it much before. So thanks for sharing those. :-D
It would be useful to me to see, as a regular feature, renderings that are created as part of a real job. I'm not so much interested in another nearly flawless image that is limited to, say, a small corner of a room. On the other hand, if someone came and had this great idea for a bedroom storage unit and wanted to pay you to visualize it, and this is the image you came up with, then you should indeed be the winner :-)
However, I believe the "paid/unpaid discussion" is the result of misunderstanding of "professional" and I would like to hear professional comments if my work lacks the above all in whole or in parts.
This way, I believe it will be more constructive and enlightening for me
Quoting pixela: Check out this:
I dont think my work is "a small corner of a room".
Quoting recon: I know Jeff said he wanted to stay on topic, so let me get back on, to make sure you know how much I like your renders...
I actually browsed over to that link AFTER writing my post... and wow. I have to apologize because I originally misconstrued the topic title as a "pro image" of the week rather than "pro" of the week. I wish I had seen the whole set before commenting.
Unfortunately, if you are hoping to get any constructive criticism from me, honestly I cant think of anything. That set of images is inspirational and as I mentioned, nearly flawless.
I do think there is some merit to what I was talking about and GEES was alluding to.. so I will suggest it in a new thread, and try to explain there what I bungled here!
Sorry for any confusion... and by the way your english is nearly as good as your renderings.
