Just Amazing..
Thanks guys. I've just finished a small making-of for the snowy scene with a number of tips I gleaned while putting it together. You can find it on Ronen Bekerman's blog here.
This is a very realistic image, love how the snow looks. You captured winter perfectly!
Really fantastic. This is the first winter scene I've seen on CGA that I've said "Wow, thats what winter looks like." Step by steps/ screen caps would be greatly appreciated.
fascinating
Great work Bertrand! Saw the rest of your Bauhaus Dessau renders over on Ronen's blog. Not one image was less than amazing.
Thanks all for the kind words. Andrew, thanks. I did a little colour correction on the finished images to give them a bit of a retro look (nothing much, some colour overlays and desaturation). Indeed, I did a whole series of black-and-white images too, which I have yet to post. The lighting on the dusk images was the hardest to get right. The reference photos helped enormously there. The project as a whole took about a month-and-a-half in my spare time.
Beautiful image as always Bertrand! Looking at the rest of the set - which are all stunning - they look like period photographs, you've really captured the magic of the place. The imperfections on the render are spot on as well and I loved the lighting in the night/dusk shots. How long did the project take you?
Great image, congrats!
No doubt, it's great!!
Very nice image Bertrand.
