Hi Mark, I had a mall project animation that I think I mis-priced. what do you recommend as pricing for these projects? yo ucan pm me if you don't want to be public with these secrets of the trade. help a brother out:)
Justin - For this film, the budget wasn't there to add people, but we also wanted to keep to a 'teaser' style film, almost a trailer showing the centre before it opened to the public, teasing the viewer as to what they could expect once it opened. Shaheenshy - Most of the shops were camera mapped in 3ds max using specific photography we had taken of similar shops elsewhere. We modelled in some shops if we got close to them though (such as the in the camera move before the Grand Piata reveal). Once we'd got all of our final grade/blings/flares and final post work added on top, the shops sat in quite well!
Nice work! Really good.
Bravo! Great renderings!
very nice work .. if u plz, could you tell me .. what did you use for making the modeling of the shops???from its inside??? is it maps?? again .. it is a great work
looks great, how did you convince the client not to put people in? We do alot of retail images and the first comment is always "Add more people and give them shopping bags". JHV
very nice work!
Thanks for all your great comments! Djsebek - I think this film was averaging out at about 20 mins per frame! Ps Andy - Berg Eltze! Legend! I'd totally forgotten about that :-) I cringe when I look back af that, although for a first crack at 3rd max, it wasn't bad! It was good to be able to play with those types of shots in this film, like you said, clients aren't always up for it! The client for this project was brilliant the whole way through!

very impressive, can you tell how long (roughly) it took to render the movie, without post editing. Great Job keep it up
A great uniform animation. But if you want comments, then it was very lifeless, too ghost town like for me.
This is very impressive, loved the walk through animation. Somewhat made me feel I was actually there
Impressive work Mark. Well done!
Seriously everywhere i look (ok the magazine, on here and uniform website) your work is there. Again mark lovely work, Loving the camera movements, I am constantly trying to push these sort of moves but the client says it doesnt give an idea of the site (the sites are small and a nightmare to navigate round and need a 10mm lense). Well done, its no Berg Eltze!
Great Job! The animation did the design justice.
very nicely done - animation works well.
