I have the great Honor to be featured in the #33 of the 3D Artist Magazine. My image « K house » appears on the cover too, with a step-by-step infocus article inside. For the 3D Artist Magazine #33 I wrote a four pages 3D tutorial about the making of the “K house”. Thanks to Sarah Slee for making this possible. Ps: Within a week I will post the tutorial here on my blog, so check it out!! http://www.vizcon.be

Same EXR with color correction (more contrast and a some Hue was used in the environment Skylight GI, and reflection/refraction slot.
How did you color correct the HDRI..? Did you do this in P'shop, or in Max..? And did you use the HDRI in the reflection / refraction and environment slots as well as the vray dome light..? Cheers
Hi alfienoakes Thanks alot fot your kind words, Yes, the outdoor scene had been lit only by the vraydome light with an internal EXR 1928 Dusk Sun from Peter Guthrie, no additional light or sun has been used. (Except of course the interior light's.) Same EXR with color correction (more contrast and a some Hue was used in the environment Skylight GI, and reflection/refraction slot. Also used Reinhard as color mapping which a prefer to work with using EXR. Of course there was PS used for corrections to the image, you can see here the settings.
Nice work Patric, I really like the last image. The balance of light is very good. A couple quick questions about your setup.. (I too am looking at Peter's HDRI's and am getting some really nice results): 1. Do you use the sky dome method to light the scene? 2. Have you found that you needed to add an additional sun object? 3. How have you managed to get your background looking nice and contrasty? Is that image straight out of the renderer, or have you PS'd it in...? Cheers
Thanks David, I'm working right now on the day setup, I will post soon new renderings!
Congratulations on a very nice set of renderings! The poolside closeup with the candles is fantastic.
thanks Mumbus, Postite, I really appreciate it!! Vizcon3d
