well, the only thing that´s left for me is to finish my masters thesis and present it at the final diploma exam, i guess this autumn... most people around here study quite long because sooner or later they start working. and then they get another even better job and then they get to lead a smaller project in some office and forget alltogether about studying and then they look around and ten years have passed. or they start their own company after many years of working for other people like my girlfriend and i did. ;) well at least she has her masters degree in architecture since 2010. our strategy is also twofold, i guess if the right clients show up we will do more architecture of our own, but visualization will always be one of our passions. i am from around here and though my girlfriend came from somewhere else we both like it quite much in vienna and will stay, for the time being at least! at the moment everything seems fine and our little company runs well too, so... if you have questions about vienna just mail me, maybe i can help. cheers, christoph.
I already am in bachelor, I study at Prague Architecture instead of Bratislava, since I love the city :- ). Maybe in two years, if all goes right heh...I might even make it to bachelor diploma, and then see... how I feel about master degree, but I check from time to time Angewandte website and their studio's blogs, and I love the quality of work their do, esp. their diploma projects, they are experimental, but at same time, feels so polished and well represented. Then maybe one day, I might even make it to architect, but it feels so distant ;- ). You already done master degree at UT and decided to stay in Vienna ?
ok, i see! cool... :) well you are right, there´s no space for such a thing on this location. but that doesn´t really matter for a university project on the other side. ;) and i like big gestures, so i kinda like the project! in this location it would be either in the middle of the ring-street around the first district (inner city), but i think it might be bigger than that, so you would also have to eliminate an architecture-historical relevant building opposite to the opera house (the opernringhof)... hehe 2 minutes from there on the karlsplatz is the architectural faculty of the vienna UT located by the way. if you want to try vienna... i am not sure if you would have to speak german to study on any of the three architectural faculties here, we have students from all over the world. and i am quite sure that not all of them speak german of course... depends maybe a bit on the studio and all that, but it´s definitely possible i´d say. and all of the three universities are quite nice in their own way. "die angewandte" is a master class only faculty since (i think) last year, so you would have to have some kind of bachelor equivalent to study there now. if you have questions... just ask. how´s university in bratislava? cheers, christoph.
It is a project of friend/client Lenka Petrakova, who studies architecture at Bratislava STU, faculty of Architecture. She's part of rather experimental studio, and she's very talented, she actually made it to Angewandte, but decided to stay home ;- ). You are right about the location ;- ). It's near Karlsplatz, right in front of the Opera, but from siteplan, I am not sure if it's even free place, I wasn't in that part of city by myself. This project is quite crazy according to me, I much more prefer small affordable architecture. We both love the Angewandte school btw, and I am quite sad sometimes that my german is rather insuficient to even try studying there. I have this idea to try their english new master degree they just opened in near future if all goes right.
hi! makes me wonder for which place this project was planned, as you say vienna? looks like to be standing in front of the opera right on the "ring" from one of your perspectives? is it a project for a student friend of yours or of yourself or of an architect/client of yours? looks cool... some more info or plans of that thing somewhere to be found? looks a bit like many of the projects from the angewandte which are most of the time way cooler than projects from the vienna technical university i have to admit (to my shame, as i studied there). ;-) well done! cheers, christoph.
Thank you Alex :- )
Juraj, don't sell yourself short. Your work is really very good. It's inspiring. And on a personal note I really appreciate your openness and honesty. From your posts it seems like you're always learning something new, or always improving some skill or technique. And that really helps me to remember skilled people (like yourself) were not born with their skills, they learn them, develop them, practise them. I particularly like the last image, the detail/closer shot. But they're all excellent. It looks like that struggle paid off.
I currently live in Prague, and from what I see around me, I can say that renderings are not inspiring here, and companies don't have good stuff even on their websites. Some work just plain lame. This is why I was asking - was wondering if there are companies here that care about visual quality, that I didn't see. I would be glad if there are! How things are in Bratislava?
helo efilana, better Prague based studios has mostly clients outside of republic like http://www.vize.com or http://www.visualarch.eu/ , some with lower archviz quality also doing different graphics works, and some freelancers with their work. I think it is same in Bratislava. Juraj: Great work
Juraj ur a good artist, u have bright future.
Thank you Brian, this work was done in Vray. I see you're from Aarhus, friend just spent year there on architecture college, was very happy about both the school and city :- )
Nice!! Glad your friend enjoyed the stay. Yeah I really like Aarhus. Although it's a fairly small city, it still has alot of the same cultural offers as the larger citys around europe/scandinavia. And nice to hear the aarch college still has a good rep. :)
Brilliant!
very Nice!
Beautiful work Ryder! your portfolio is equally impressive. You have a fine eye for composition and detail. What is your render engine for the project??

Fabulous work. It doesn't matter how good you are... By the result you can see the passion, that really matters !b
I am really thankful for something like this Ivan ! I always try my best, I hope experience will come by time, and skill will be learned by practice.

I would say good at the moment :- ) I don't know much about companies in Prague, maybe little, but here in Bratislava I think are none ? Most artists based here just freelance, and then work abroad. Michal Timko comes to my mind, he is greatly talented and produces great work from here. Those really talented people in 3D simply don't do archviz over here :- )
congrats juraj! you are doing great images - best regards lasse

I am very thankful for this award. I am not on the level of previous artists featured and by a long stretch ! But they are my great inspiration and I wish to attain their quality of work one day, I am working day by day towards that goal :- ) Thank you too much..
