Excellent..
glad to hear all is ok . this is your first experience with such a damaging storm.reminds u how precious life is & how important those wo fill it are mindy b
Not too bad, no electricity at home, office is blacked out too, have moved up to Midtown where everything is pretty normal. Have realized just how dependent on electricity we are!!
how have u survived the storm ??
where do I pjj work
Ha, yes Matt probably some inaccuracies there, I am fortunate enough to be able to walk to work, so the subway isn't my regular means of transport. Thanks for the comments.
Peter, as a daily 7 train rider, you are after my own heart with this fantastic image Well done!
just got your message, I have been on a foraging adventure around the big pond. to your question ,my parents named me mindy for no particular reason as I understand. my be it was not a very common name then. as a counter to Matthews point what do you have when you take people away from what is a nutural habitat for them as your picture shows. your left with the cold surrounds of bricks , trains, noise etc but no human touch. the traveller needs a comfort zone . like your work
Thanks for your rather poetic comment Mindy Beagle. Out of interest where did the name 'Mindy Beagle' come from, I find it oddly coincidental since I had a Beagle named Mindy. Very weird!
tucked inside his shop , all goodies ready for the customer to buy.it's not forboding nor dark as he prepares to serve the customers as thet alight from the incoming train & give sustance to get to their destination
Hi Matthew, thanks again for pointing me in the direction of this artist. I like his work, reminds me of Gregory Crewdson's photography. I will add it to my ever growing list of personal projects! Thanks again.
again Peter...I really appreciate the sense of narrative you seem to be exploring in the series of recent posts. This one reminds me of diCorcia. If you don't know his work please have a look. It could be a big inspiration to perfecting this image. If I may, make the platform shop empty. ( he seems to have scale issues anyway) and get a perfectly lost and lonely subject on the platform..lit classically. take a look at.. diCorcia's..."Alice 1988".
Thanks for the comments guys. How's the move going Hao?
Nice contrast!
Love the distorted reflections on those tiles.
awesome image!!
