we enjoyed the challenge of spatially layering in this scene....to hopefully make the viewer believe there is a 'sense of place' outside of this immediate space.

amazin grendering, just great.

This said I would never eat near that stand of fish. My wife once almost had us have a motorcycle accident when we pulled behind a fish truck. Fish smell bad no matter how fresh, women hate the smell most.
I just asked the wife and she confirmed she won't eat near that fish stand.

Looks great Matthew, my only real comment would be in regards to the very flat looking food stands. The seafood in the foreground left looks flat, as do the flowers in the mid ground. Nice work otherwise.

Apart from earthquakes, smelly fish....and the fact that only flat fish is for sale...thank you for your comments. Who I feels retail images should be very expensive? They require a lot of "stuff" no ?

As someone who does a lot of retail images, foodcourts are possibly the hardest to get right. The amount of "clutter" you need is crazy.

This is a beautiful image. I'm new to arch viz and I was wondering about the people. Especially the ones sitting on stools in the foreground. How is this accomplished?

Way to comp the people! Always a challenge!

Excellent work, retail images in fact require a lot of detail so they can transmit the complete idea.

Do you guys at dbox photo shoot your own models accord to every project? I mean they are completely integrated with CG.

Best regards!!

I like very much the overall feeling of the image, lighting, colors, composition etc. I would love if it were not so perfect and clean, I mean, a market where everything's in place and full of everything? they don't sell? maybe in the foreground having an empty space of the loafs of bread and disordered. Stuff like that.

thank you everyone. to answer a few questions.

The illustration was done using vray with linear workflow. We set up a direct light for the sun with a few interior spot lights, and used standard irradiance map and light cache settings.

The resolution is around 5000 pixels wide.

Do you guys green screen your people?

for stills we prefer to shoot high res and carefully cut the mask.
