Juan Altieri (Estudio A2T)

Juan Altieri was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, on July 13, 1972.
He studied architecture, graphic design and advertising, and in 1999 co-founded Estudio  A2T, specializing in architectural visualization.

As partner in Estudio A2T he has participated in the visualization of over 500 projects over the course of ten years, and has won numerous awards, at both the architectural design level (Elemental Chile, experimental homes; Banco de la República del Uruguay contest), and at the visualization level (two Ballistic Publishing excellence awards in exterior architecture, three 3D Awards 2009, including best overall architectural image).

His works have been included in 3d viz 2008 software, and in the books “The world best Autodesk art" and "Inspirato," a collection of fine architectural visualization artists in the world.

 
 

Ernest Burden (Acme Digital)

Ernest Burden III is both a commercial and fine artist. He has worked as an architectural illustrator for more than twenty five years. His clients include such architectural firms as Kohn Pederson Fox, Robert A.M.Stern, and Tihany Design. His drawings have been published in The New York Times, Architectural Record, Progressive Architecture and featured in an article in CADence, as well as books on architecture and rendering. He is a member and past President of the New York Society of Renderers and also teaches 3D Drawing at the Parsons School of Design.

 
 

Jules Cocke (Squint Opera)

After graduating from Edinburgh University, Jules worked for The Times newspaper and Private Eye magazine. Since co-founding squint/opera, he has produced various films internationally, both architectural and documentary. Within the company he acts as Managing Director and is responsible for production and business development.

 
 

Frank M. Costantino, ASAI, SI, JARA, FSAI

Frank Costantino, an architectural illustrator for over thirty-five years, has served renown architectural, design, and development firms throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.  He is a recipient of the Hugh Ferriss Memorial Prize – the world’s most prestigious award for architectural illustration – as well as other Juror and Category Awards, from the American Society of Architectural Illustrators (ASAI). Also a recipient of the Arthur Ross Award, from the Classical America Institute in New York, he is one of only two artists in the world to receive both the Ferriss Prize and the Ross Award.  Artworks from his career appear in more than forty-five books or catalogues. Since 1987, twenty-six of his illustrations have been juried into annual ASAI exhibitions.

As one of the founders of the American Society of Architectural Illustrators (ASAI), he has helped establish an international network of delineators throughout the US, Canada, England, Europe, Japan, Australia, Korea, and other countries.  On behalf of the Society and with his co-founders, Mr. Costantino received Institute Honors from the American Institute of Architects in 1995.  He was also recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award from ASAI in 2007, for his many contributions spanning more than two decades. Mr. Costantino is an Honorary Member of New York City’s Society of Illustrators (SI), an Honorary Life Member of the Japan Architectural Renderers Association (JARA), Tokyo, and a Fellow in the Society of Architectural Illustrators (FSAI), Great Britain.

Mr. Costantino is a Founding Director of the American Society of Illustrators Partnership (ASIP), a consortium of national illustration groups that advocate for the collective rights, royalties and business interests for thousands of American artists from varied arts disciplines.

A long-time fine art watercolorist, he is a Signature Member of the New England Watercolor Society, and member of New York’s Salmagundi Club, among other art associations.

 
 

Daniel Fritschi (Swiss Interactive AG)

Daniel Fritschi studied electrical engineering and worked as project supervisor for various real estate, industrial and public projects. He started his career in the CG field in 1999 with 3D Studio VIZ and Lightscape for physical correct light simulations. Since 2000 he has been co-founder and CEO from Swiss Interactive AG, the leading company for architectural visualizations and real estate marketing solutions in Switzerland. SIAG assists municipal authority in their public plannings and In the last 10 years SIAG contributed at over 2,000 projects in several countries. John Dollus

Since graduating from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 1991, John has enjoyed a career producing visuals for the architectural industry. One of his first 3D projects was created to assist with visualizing the natatorium design for the 1996 Olympics held in Atlanta, Georgia. Over his career, John has produced many hours of architectural animation that have received more than half a dozen national awards in the industry. With close to 20 years of experience in developing and producing architectural visualization projects for the architecture community, John enjoys sharing his experiences and has lectured frequently on the application of 3D techniques for groups such as the American Institute of Architects, Construction Specifications Institute and the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America as well as several educational institutions. John currently works as a digital production manager for StudioAMD and is based in Tampa, Florida.

 
 

Andy Hickes (Rendering.net)

ANDY HICKES  received his degree in Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University and opened his architectural rendering business in Manhattan in 1978. Andy rendered in airbrush for 15 years but switched to computers in 1994.   In 2003 he was awarded the Photoshop Guru Award in Illustration at PhotoshopWorld in Los Angeles.   Hickes founded the New York Society of Renderers in 1985.  He created the NYSR's publication, Portfolio, in 1987.  He is an adjunct professor at Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC

 
 

Torgeir Holm (Netron/VRAY.info)

Torgeir Holm is the editor of VRay.info as well as 3D and VFX Creative Director at Netron AS.
He originally started out as a graphic designer, but has since 1999 mainly worked on motion graphics, 3D and visual effects. He has worked on numerous visualization, broadcast and film projects, ranging from archviz, commercials and channel idents to virtual studios and visual effects.


 
 

Alex Morris

Alex Morris has been creating artwork and illustrations for the property market for the last 20 years. During this time he has produced and overseen the production of over 1200 images on more than 200 projects across all sectors worldwide for a host of international clients.

Qualifying as an architect in 1989 after degrees at Cambridge and Liverpool Universities, he practised for 7 years before specialising in illustration and computer generated imagery. Subsequently joining Hayes Davidson in 1995, he produced many of their outstanding images and animations over the next 15 years. Notable among these were landmark images of the Millennium Dome, Tate Modern, Chiswick Park, Gramercy Park North and 40 Bond Street.

Alex was a Director at Hayes Davidson for 8 years, where aside from being directly responsible for art production, he also had key roles in recruitment, training, IT, R&D, infrastructure and methodology for AVR (architectural verified rendering) work. Alex is actively involved in the CGI industry and regularly judges image competitions, writes articles and speaks at conferences on architectural illustration and special effects. He is on the Advisory Board of the CG Society and 3D World Magazine, and actively involved in the Drawing At Work program.

 
 

Sam O'Hare (Aero Film/Pixelpollen)

After studying architecture at University, Sam moved into the world of design and began working on marketing films and animation projects for world-renowned architects and developers; most recently at Uniform, a multi-disciplinary design studio based in Liverpool, UK.

From there, Sam moved to New York City to work on commercials, film, and music videos. He completed several projects with 1stAveMachine as lead artist and visual effects supervisor, including AT&T “Spring” and Samsung “Hummingbird”. He worked  as CG Director at Tanq, and has consulted at other New York studios.

Sam is currently a director/VFX artist with Aero Film in NY/LA where he has directed and supervised the post FX on several commercials which have been recognized by Adweek and Shoot Magazine. In February, he finished his first short film, The Sandpit, which has had over one million views on Vimeo, and has been screened around the world in many film festivals.

Sam has been a judge for the Escape Awards in London, and has spoken about his films to audiences around the globe including across Europe and Dubai, and at the Siggraph Conference in San Diego on behalf of Autodesk as an expert in photo-real animation. His work has been nominated for multiple CG Architect Awards and won a Roses Design Award and an Escape Award.

Shi Yao holds a degree in Architectural engineering and has been working in the computer graphic industry for more than 9 years. During these 9 years he has produced several award winning images.

Michiel Quist (3idee)

Michiel Quist studied architectural engineering in Utrecht. After partnering in a multimedia company and working at an architect agency as an architectural visualizer, Michiel founded 3idee in 2003. 3idee is an architectural visualization and design studio which supports architects, project developers and city councils with artist impressions, animations and interactive media. Michiel Quist was invited to speak at Imagina 2006, CARVI 2006 and CARVI 2008 and has published articles in 3D World Magazine.You will find Michiel roaming around in forums as well, sharing his knowledge and MaxScripts.
 
 

Jorge Tiscareno (SHWGROUP)

Jorge, a Senior Designer at SHWGROUP, began his career as an intern architect but started to gravitate toward the digital side of his field almost instantly. Dealing with a wide range of issues and software, Jorge has been a CG Artist and Designer for the past 10 years. His main goal, however has been to streamline the digital workflow and to get the most life out of all 3D data created in every stage of the project. Jorge holds an Architecture Degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Cd. Juarez in Mexico and worked in several firms in El Paso, Texas as a designer and CG Artist prior to moving to Houston with his wife, daughter and son.
 
 

Tianyi Zhu (Tianyi 3DArt Studio)

Tianyi has been painting since childhood and for many years engaged in Architectural Visualization and research photography as well asmovie effect of Architectural Visualization.
She has won many industry awards including the CGarchitect Architectural 3d Awards, Architectural Visualization Competition, Animago award and has works published in CG magazines such as 3D world, CADesigner, cgworld.
For the past two years she worked as art directorat dbox in Amersterdam creating projects for clients such as Foster, and SOM. Tianyi is now in the process of setting up her own studio TianYi studio.
