About the Challenge

WINNERS ANNOUNCED

This year marks the 2nd annual CGarchitect.com Architectural Visualization competition. As the only competition of its kind in the industry, the competition strives to uncover undiscovered talent through a series of challenges and qualifying competitions spanning the four months.

Competitors will stretch their imaginations and skills to demonstrate their prowess in the art of architectural illustration and animation. While the ultimate winner and finalists in the competition will take home some amazing prizes, the goal of this competition is to promote architectural illustration and encourage its advancement through community participation and critiques.

New Challenge Themes

This year CGarchitect.com has partnered with David Exline of Exline Design, an environmental design consultancy providing a scope of services specializing in the development of entertainment, recreation, resort, museum, mixed–use, retail, and residential projects. The challenges will be based on a written briefs, concept sketches and drawings for the " Japan Nature Dome Experience", a proposed project originally conceived for a site just off the coast of Japan, by Exline Design.

Two New Entry Categories

This year we have two entry categories, Individual and Group. We will be selecting 15 individuals and 5 teams to compete in all three of the challenges which will be an interior image, an exterior image and an animation.

New Rules

This year, there will be no elimination round. If you are selected to compete in this year's competition, you will be eligible to compete in all 3 challenges regardless of your score in each challenge. Winners will be determined based upon an average score of all three challenges.
