Architectural
Visualization tutorial series by William Alexander of WDA Design
A new tutorial series geared specifically to the architecural
visualization community.
Arched
Stairway TUTORIAL Part#2
The
railing can be the most problematic modeling of the stair
components, as discussed in the first part of the stairway
tutorial. By utilizing the same methodology use for the
stringers the handrail can be efficiently modeled, however
more complex.
Arched
Stairway TUTORIAL Part#1
There
are many ways to model circular stairs. The Max platform has
this capability as a creation object and it is a good tool, used
many times to create the base model for a CAD application. However
to get reasonable Architectural detail close up it does become
problematic.
CAD
Modeling for CG Viz Applications
There
is a lot of discussion as to the relevance of "clean" modeling,
due to the increased computing power and fast ray tracing non-mesh
based GI rendering engines. Relevant workflow duration (time!)
drive the discussion.
CAD
Modeling for CG Viz Applications
This segment will look at some basics related to ADT/CAD
and 3D programs. Then move to light application in calculated
lighting solutions, Global Illumination (GI).
Face
Modeling
Exclusive face modeling in Cad requires knowledge
of 3D application/s being used. Many people feel that CAD
is the best way to model. In CG arch Viz, CAD is the native
information you receive from the client.
