Try setting up your view in ADT to use low detail setting instead of medium detail or higher. It will not show hatching in ADT but will link to VIZ render much better. Also, try purging the autocad file to rid it of any unnecessary information. By the way, are you creating your view using different constructs and not having everything in one file like I have seen some folks try? It can make a BIG difference.
