Default What is the best setting for animation using VRAY?

I am animating a 4 minute animation of a city scape...there are a lot of objects in the scene with reflections. What i want to ask is..does anyone know the best setting for this kind of animation for VRAY? what are subdivs and does it help with the jittering problem caused when doing an animation with VRAY?

I need to submit this work in a week time..so any reply or help would assist me greatly. Thanks

if you can afford the frame times then stick it on high animation, and caculate a map every 25 frames or less if your camera is moving alot.
increasing rays and subdivisions will help, but dont go crazy, i usually have this set at 32/32, but if its a stuborn sob, then crank it up to as high as 80/60 maybe. make sure your reflection depth is set to its lowest limit, try not to have too many glossy reflections. if its pal or ntsc res then you can get away with alot. ie taking reflections of alot of things.

hi,

there are some good tips about vray settings for both interior and exterior renderings in http://www.vray.info and the ultimate vray resource in http://www.chaosgroup.com/

from there you could find a lot of research links leading to various case study done by Vladimir Koylazov and many other experts.

thanks
