i think this thread jinxed me. my operating system went down around 11 this morning, and never came backup. when the IT guy was reloading the operating system, he accidentally deleted all of the partitions on my second hard drive.

anyone know how to get these back without losing the data on the drive?

Phew. Managed to get my HD changed and everythinf copied over. Maxtor HD has a 3 year warrenty, so no charge.

Just got to re-authorize viz.

Well the new RAID array is installed and a new 550W Antec put in. For ONCE in my life an install has gone right the first time! I was actually really surprised how easy is was to install a RAID controller having never done one before. Just plug it in and go really.

If anyone is looking for one, I'd highly reccomend the 3ware escalade. Very easy to setup. I bought the 8 port SATA version.
