I'm still getting poor results with my flat mapped grass. I've tried mixing/blending maps and using procedurals. Surely this can be done without investing in a grass texture package? I'd really like to see some other users samples of simple/realistic grass suitable for large outdoor animation work so I can take notes.
Thanks Mega |

!!! Holy smokes Strat!!! - You didn't have to give me that LOL. I was just looking for some scene render examples. Thanks I'll try it this afternoon.
But would you leave this texture as is, or try to add smoke or noise procedurals to it for distance variation over a large area? Also, which shader would you use? I'm thinking ONB or Straus? THanks - Mega |

here's the one I made quite recently (2nd pic)
http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/9890-not-so-beautiful-condo.html the lower the AA, better it looks I'll find a mat tree if U like it, it uses 2or3 default grass maps, mixed within a noise tree. Cheers |
