Hello everyone. I have finally finished my thesis project and turned in the final book. My thesis deals with the idea of using the process of detailing as a way of creating a whole architecture including the site. Here are a few image of the exterior and a main circulation stair of the project. The concept only utilizes the entry sequence including the site, entry threshold, ticket area, circulation stair, and gallery. I used viz and vray free to do the renderings. All CC's are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Looks very nice. Can't really give a critique without more info, particularly diagrams and process imagery.
I like the detailing of the floor (although looks like you'd trip on part of it ;-) ) and would be interested in seeing more of how things evolved. The renderings are nice, but the diagram/perspectives do a better job explaining the ideas. I like the one in the middel a lot, it starts to show a layering of pieces that informs movement and spatial configurations. Some axos (exploded?) that show how the pieces go together and their relationship to eachother and to the space would help explain things, too. Are you at UF? I graduated from there in '97 (with a Bach in Arch, then onto UCLA for grad school). Fantastic school and Gainesville is the best place I've seen, and I've seen a lot, to go to school. Cheers. Thanks for the input Markus. I actually have a lot of other piees of process work. The floor actually has a glass material covering it. I have many exploded axonometrics of these pieces going disassembling. The dashed lines on the site drawings are the indications of slices that were made into the site and building mass. The information of these slices comes from the surrounding grids of Jacksonville and adjacent sites. These lines are then projected into the building to inform decisions being made on the interior. Likewise, lines are projected to the exterior to influence public spaces and building facades. It is a long tedious proces that led to many discoveries for myself as a designer.
Yes I am at UF. I started in 99 and finally finished the 4yr BArch and the 2yr MArch. It is a great place but I need to get out of here now. Thanks again. Jason
