The 533 FSB, 2.8B Xeon's are Socket 604. They do not work on earlier Xeon motherboards.

Look for Socket 604, and 533 FSB.

Remember that these systems are VERY expensive. The motherboards alone start in the 500 range. Power supplies around 140 ish. Gotta buy ram in paired dimms. Etc.

I'll be testing the dual 2400+ MP's (2.0 Gigahertz), After I'm done with the 2.8B Xeon.

Greg:

How about a cost column with a $/sec. comparison?

Good idea John. Remind me in a month or two when I've collected all 72 tests.

I uploaded the Hyperthreading scores of the system.

(Basically bare install of XP required)

Insanely fast. Makes me wonder how the 2600+ MP's will do.
