Default question: black sequence

In my animation I have a black sequence of about a 3-4 seconds. I need that pause to create climax. this sequence time in black considers time of real animation? Thank you very much

Jeff,

In addition to the question of Alex, i have also a question about black frames.

You said that we can put credits at the end (for instance, music) and this could be over the 20 secondes. Also, Is there a problem to put, let say, a black sequence of 2 secondes, at the begining, just to let the music starts and to start up the animation.. for the eye ?

Hi guys,

If you want to add black frames that is fine. credits outside the 20 sec is ok, but please try to avoid long credits if possible. I am already realizing that taking in all of these animations and distributing them to our judges is going to be a nightmare. I'll be posting about this shortly.

20 sec is the max, if you can do it in less, great.

if there is one bright spot in the black frame saga, they should add very little to the overall file size since the are simple identical frames that spn a length of time.

i.e. 2 minutes of black frames will should copress smaller than 5 seconds of action frames. (random numbers based on concept, not actually tested)
