Default Dan Beinart - WIP

Here's an early storyboard basically starting with the exterior of the building before proceeding in and through it. I know, it's practically photographic already but I think I can probably tweak it here and there..

My plan is to submit such dull WIPs that my final submission looks fantastic in comparison.

Not really. Please bear with me! The central atrium space wasn't working which meant going back a couple of days, remodelling, and changing the storyboard.

I'll try to sort out some proper renders shortly.

I did say I'd come up with some renders in my previous WIP so here they are - admittedly rather late (grabs from the final animation)

Trying to remember how Character Studio works, or rather, having forgotten how character studio turns the seemingly simplest task into a complete marathon pain in the neck, rather preoccupied my time.

Now I've just about got over the shock of getting through to the next round (the other competitors' work is the best arch viz I have personally ever seen), can anyone tell me what happened to my bipeds??

The problem started when I had to rescale them from metres to millimetres to fit them into the scene (changed the height in figure mode) After scaling they started walking like zombies and leaning over backwards.

Has anyone had a similar problem or know how to solve it?

Thanks!

Dan

are you used motion captures? o simple footsteps? perhaps the motion capture need some adjust...if you used this option.
P.

p.d. I always work with the same units that my bipeds-zombies...scale a biped is always a problem

Motion capture. I have also always had problems with scaling bipeds - which was why I was just happy the mesh scaled up correctly and didn't notice what had happended to the mocap until too late!

I've also had problems with motion capture on scaled up bipeds. what i've ended up doing is exporting the motion capture sequence from cs as biped footsteps then reimporting that into the rescaled figure which seems to get rid of the wierd behaviour of the original motion capture.

nb.
