Hallo everybody
For some time now I've been trying to make some neat grass, but havent really been able to get a decent result, so I was hoping somebody could / would give me a helping hand. I would really appriciate it (hope that's spelled correct). I was looking for something like this: http://www.cgarchitect.com/gallery/i...alleryID=28353 Hope you can help me. //Nicki |

It will all depend in what renderer U R using....
a displacement map is a regular image that actually modifies your geometry... do a search on displacement..... Here ist a house i did with vray and used a simple displacement map on the grass..... http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/attach...achmentid=7018 |

Hey again
That looks very interesting ecastillor. I'l try to do a search on displacement, since I have no idea what it is. By the way I use a demo of Vray, or mental ray. |

Hi there,
'displacement' could be added as a map, or a modifier, depending on the program I guess. I am talking about Max. It does require some more complex mesh than a simple plane, but it's worth it! Post some attempts when IU try it out. Cheers |
