Default Cloth to make a nice bed-spread

Hey, guys!
I've been playing around with the new Cloth modifier and came to a sittuation I can't figure out. I'm trying to create a bed-spread, with some divisions (imagine a plane with 2 by 4 segments and you'll get what I mean). The thing is I just can't make it! Tried with 8 rectangles, but when I apply Garment maker I get error messages. Also tried to calculate each of the divisions one by one, but the edges do not allow any seams between different objects. Does anyone have any ideas? (and, most important, did I make myself clear enough?)

rick,
try reactor, let the bedsheet(plane with alot of faces 20x30) fall(gravity) onto the bed(ridgid body). then when you get the look(wrinkles) you like hit relax in reactor.

i think there is a tut about a talbe cloth falling onto a table.

Hi, david!
That's what I've been doing so far. But what I'm trying to do here is to use the new Cloth FX to create a more detailed bed-spread... Any thoughts?

Thank you, Mazen. But that's what I've been doing so far. The thing is really to get the grips with the new Cloth tool.

Being a relative newbie (3 weeks to 3dsmax) I constantly trawl this forum after a good friend at www.amvisualisation.com introduced me to it for ideas, and this one was brilliant. It worked a treat except for it being in 3dsmax5 and therefore it meant I had to find where the modifiers were in 3dsmax7.

One more string to my bow.
