Hey all, i'm fairly new at 3ds max so please be gentle!

I have these frosted glass panels in a ceiling, with a colored light behind them. I am trying to get the glass to "glow" as the colored light passes thru it.

I know i can use the "self illumination", but i'd rather not.

Is there some easy way for me to get the frosted glass to somehow absorb the color from the light and "glow" that color?
