Default Autodesk revit ? Archi viz ?

Hi everyboy, first of all thanks a lot, I have found a lot's of informations on your forum, but not this one ...

A friend of mine is an architect student and gave me the Autocad file of her last works with the building plan. Is there a soft that can automatically built a 3d model (not inevitably detailed) based on the autocad plan I have ?
I heard about Autodesk Revit or Archi VIZ but I don't know if this is working very well ... ? And I want to load the model in max to add some details and make a render.

Thanks for yours help

PS: sorry for my bad english but be positive ... on internet you don't have to hear my horrible french accent

I wish such software would exist, but no revit will not do that for you. You can trace the cad floor plan in revit, but that is. It is a manual task regardless. Good luck.
