Default Arizona House

Hello all,

It's been a while since I posted an image. I'm currently working on this for a fellow employee. This is my first house, so I was pretty excited when I was asked to create it. Color, and landscape (non existent) is not going to really change. The client wanted the house to blend in with the environment. I can tweak the color on the building to make it a little better looking. The house is made out of smooth, and splitface block. The dark area on the second floor is a screened terrace. The accent tiles are suppose to be glossy, but I was having a hard time achieving that effect because they are so small.

Any thought on how I can improve this image? a lot of time was spent tweaking in Photoshop.
Thank you

I like it alot the lighting is very good and also the design (was it yours?)
the only thing i dont like is the non existence of the landscape, it fits with the environment but it looks like its deserted !anyway really good work

Ravenwood: Thanks for your comments. I agree with the landscaping, but this is the Clients retirement home, and he wants low maintenance, so that's what they get. The design is that of an Architect that I work with.

Well I see that no one else has any suggestions, so that can be either good or bad. I have a little more time to work on it again, so I'll be touching a few things up, so I can get it to the client by weeks end.

Marc

nice 3d work, great camera match with the background
The standing seam roof looks a little Too dark (for me)

**

This looks like Camp Verde area, short pine Trees
or somewhere north of Prescott but south of Flagstaff

not red enough for Oak Creek - Sedona area
maybe near Crown King west of the I-17 going North

just guessing

i live in The Mesa/Phoenix aridzona area

we temporarily had some rain This spring
and now we have had a LOT OF FIRES, brush fires mainly

This is a SMART MAN to have NO vegetation NEAR THE HOUSE
especially This far out of Town where This is NO FIRE departments

one fire near Cave Creek Took out more Than Twenty homes

Randy

You're right on. The house is going to be built in the Kingman area. The road back to the site is pretty rough, and it's about a 30min ride. This is also why the house is made out of smooth, and split-face block, and a metal roof. Being that the house is in the middle of nowhere, there's going to be a very large pantry. I agree with the roof being too dark, but that was the request of the Architect.

I love it! I agree that adding some highlights to the roof would help some. I only have one other very, very small crit and that is on the far right of the image there is a noticeable seam between the reddish color dirt and the background dirt.
