hi There

i just pre-ordered The next Mental Ray book, yesterday
it should be in The Stores by July 29th according To The publishers

Found This at Borders just happened To be browsing
couldnt find an existing book so i asked for some help

Randy,

The MR books are very good, lots of info as to what settings do what and such. The previous versions are the basics in a 'programing or scripting' for shders context. Perfect match for the 'nodal' GUI shader set up in XSI, a bit confusing for Max, though. It can be difficult to follow how shaders are connected and interact with other shaders in Max, from my experience.

It's a must buy, imho. Just don't expect it to unlock all the mysteries of MR in max, unless of course you're a programmer. Which I am not LOL

When you get it.... let us know what you think, maybe this revision is different.
