I have been given a model to use in an animation.when I opened it in autocad, I found that most of the model was there as a proxy. I dont have access or time to get the missing files.
I imported the dwg file(a very detailed train cab) and it is one big editable spine with 2 million vertixs. I have tried to convert it to a mesh, but nothing shows in the model except a few pieces. If I select vertix in the modifer list, the vertixes are there, but not connected. There are too many to try to connnect them. Is there a way to weld them all or modifer to use to show a surface? I imported with autoweld set to .003 and tried many others and still have this problem. Michael There are almost 2 million vertrices and 4 million faces in the model. the model itself is not very large, 5 mg but the designer over complicated the model. If The original proxy model is missing U have no solution except modelling again...
If U need to simplify your splines use "Normalize" in the edit roll Out... if U want to surface your spleen U have to make a spline network and use surface... |
