Default Fax

I used to be able to recieve faxes on my CPU but I haven't been able to figure out how since I don't use a modem anymore. Is there still a way to do that? Or a program?

Thanks

Has anyone tried Vonage?

For $35 you get a regular line, fax line, call forwarding and tons of goodies. Must say I am tempted, but still unsure.

I use Vonage for my office phone. My only problem is when i am downloading updates or large files. at that point it eats into my bandwidth and I get complaints about the voice quality. Didn't get the fax option. been happy with efax.

I just started using Vonage. I got 2 phone numbers and a dedicated fax number for around $60/month. I was paying almost $40/month for just the phone throught the phone company before. Plus with Vonage you get unlimited long distance in the US and Canada and a ton of other features. Of course if your internet goes out (like mine did for the last day and a half) you have no phone, but you can set it up so that you Vonage phone will automatically forward to a cell phone or anything else. So far I really like it. My wife isn't convinced yet. One other thing that is kind of cool, is if you move, even out of state, you can keep your same phone number.

I signed up with send2fax.com a couple of months ago, and so far it's been a great solution at about $8/month. Much better than forking over the money for an additional phone line.

Gary,

I think you've convinced me. I primarily use a cell as the main business phone, but I think it'd be good to have a regular line (and the fax line). I pay about $50 for a basic line with unlimited long distance - ridiculous.
