here's my latest job. some apartment interiors. our plan was to hire a cherry-picker and photograph a 360 degree view from each level of the building to composite into each background. So a spread of 30+ images could be shown to possible buyers to try to pursuade them to upgrade to a better view, but a combination of the photographer not fully understanding the instructions and large trees (which would be removed before construction) obscuring the view meant it just wasn't working out. So we just took a single floor and presented that.
time was running short and my Athlon 750 was melting already, so I had to drop GI and use old fashioned fill/ambient light setup. Vray was still great for the reflections n stuff. I had to 'beautify' the images to the developer's satisfaction, so they're a bit contrasty and saturated for my own taste but I'm happy I didn't have to go too far. anyway...they're here - http://argo.net.au/philipad/main/3dimages/duffield.html I posted these on another forum and some comments were made that the floor was maybe a bit shiny, which I kind of agree with, are there any other blunders/mistakes that jump out at you...I've been staring at these too long to notice...

ah, a Kid 3d post (rarely seen these days)
cracking stuff as usual m8. i partuculaly love the last 2 wide screen shots. if the client likes them then job done my only gripe is the floor reflection. it's too blurred. it completely took my attention and put me off the imagery. but you know that can you give us some render and software specs? thanks guys.
I've actually decided I like how the floor is. Regarding software, I used VRay with GI disabled and with a conventional ambient/fill lighting setup. There's a spotlight at each downlight location, a few shining in from just outside, a direct light for the sun, and a few placed around to light up little nooks and crannies. The client wanted a "crisp whiteness" to the images. I tried GI at first but found it easier and quicker to get the effect I was after using traditional lighting techniques.
