File Link manager?

When file linking a dwg file in max, how can I choose between linking layers or linking colors created in Autocad? In my office workstation, the colors are linked but in my laptop the layers are linked. There must be a setting to choose between the two!

check out attached screen grab, change Derive AutoCAD primitives to what ever you need, think that should do it

Thanks alot James, sometimes in life we look for complicated solutions when the answers are so simple and just before our eyes!
