I live in southern Louisiana and my office flooded during hurricane Katrina causing the loss of several computers. I have just got back up and running again and am trying to replace software I was running, including Lightscape 3.2. This is a problem because as everyone knows, AutoDesk discontinued it several years ago. I have looked at several other systems over the years and have yet to find anything which I liked better. At his point, I am not prepared to spend the multiple thousands of dollars to purchase the assortment of software which would be necessary to provide the results I got with Lightscape, especially since the only reason I need to do so is because the jerks at AutoDesk killed it off. Further, I am proficient in Lightscape and don’t have the time to learn a whole new process. So, if anyone has a copy they are looking to get rid of, please contact me. Thanks.

Here's my advice:
First, edit your post and get rid of the bad words; second, contacts autodesk and give them the option to help hurricane victims by free upgrades or anyother creative way. You'r obiviously not going to buy VIZ, but if they'll give you the option you'll be a future upgrader... As, for being proficient - if the obove works, you'll become proficient with VIZ and stay current with today and future programs. As great as LS is and the bad move autodesk did by killing it, its all history and LS ain't comming back. Still, if you insist on LS, I can send you a copy, but you'll have to find your old serials as I do still use it from time to time. Good luck. |

Problem Solved! Prior to making my initial post, I had called Autodesk several times to try and get a replacement. I was not given any help at all other than being told that I could purchase (at full price, no upgrade) any of a number of products which they felt I should own. After Bigcanhunak's post I called Autodesk again to see if I could get my serial number (which was lost with the software). The customer rep. informed me that I could not install someone elses software as licenses are not transferable. However, she said that it should not be a problem because they could just send me a replacement for my lost copy of LS. After she looked up my serial number and asked me a few questions, a replacement copy was sent out, free of charge. I guess you just have to find the right person to talk to. Thanks anyway guys.
