Default Stereoscopic Projection System

I am in the process of setting up stereoscopic projection system for my client.

At the moment we pretty much decided on the polarising (passive) system and now are studying the Barco and Duality options.

Anyone here like to share their experience and knowledge?

Default Re: Stereoscopic Projection System

Hi there,

I have used a few different solutions. Currently I am using an auto-stereographic system from www.stereographics.com which is a 40 inch lenticular LCD system, and comes with software plugins for 3d Max, Maya and PhotoShop to produce stereographic stills in the required format.

I have also used a hired system from a company called www.inition.co.uk for two conferences, where the stereo streams of video were run from separate machines for the left and the right and projected via two separate barco projectors with polarised lenses. This system gives a superb result!!

Give me an indication of your client requirements and I will be happy to advise you further.

Regards

Marco

Default Re: Stereoscopic Projection System

Thanks Marco,

I am from Malaysia and most probably, we have to buy whatever system that we need.

The second system is what I am looking at. Any idea where is the best place to see a demo in UK? Exhibitions or something like that?

I have been to a SGI Reality Center. Superb but the whole theatre cost about USD 7 m - definitely out of my my client's budget.

Actually they are looking for something portable, that can be transported for the launching of new projects etc, very much like the inition system. Any idea what the cost is like?

Thanks for the lead.
