Hi all,
Back at it again; I've somewhat simplified the structure, chosen my point of view (hope you agree with it), added a japanese-style bridge and a couple of boats and tried to improve on the lighting (still not satisfied), but have not yet settled on my colour scheme. I'm now working on the vegetation- I'll post a result of that soon. Thanks again |

As I said before, it is very interesting and creative work. I can only give you two advices - first is regarding composition - In my opinion, the foreground need something strong to balance with the very powerfull background. Or you can focus completely on the background and use some depth of field to blur foreground of the image...
Second - the light - just little more contrast and you are there, do not loose too much time, you are doing great! |

Hi Frosty,
Well of course Gaudi's the name when it comes to expressionist, nature-inspired architecture and undoubtedly Saarinen (and even Corbusier in Ronchamps) are to be studied; I didn't know about Mark West or fabric-formed concrete- I'll definitely look into it, thanks- but I've been following the recent works of Arata Isozaki and other Japanese architects, and kept an eye (aren't we all) on Zaha Hadid, Foreign Office, Morphosis and the rest of the gang ! |

Great, no.4 looks like final...?
As for inspiration - how about Greg Lynn and Form, Decoi, Asymptote, Preston Scott Cohen, Nox, Marcelo Spina (Patterns)... These are some new forces, all in the organic hi-tech, computer generated and inspired flowing forms kind of architecture, very simmilar to your work here. Their digital experiments are based on latest, still experimental construction methods as Frosty mentioned one of them... Anyway, this kind of architecture will soon become reality, and it involves CG from the initial sketch and developing idea to the manufacturing/building process... I admire the way taht people like them and you handle this forms easy and naturaly... It would be nice if you could sometime post your early stages - sketches that illustrate evolutuion of your structure... |
