Default Alexandre Malignan - Final

While trying to translate "The Japanese Nature Dome Experience" in Japanese, the online translation engine kept returning a phrase which, when retroverted, meant "An Experience Dome of Japanese Caracter".
I thought it would be nice if I somehow illustrated both.

Thank you all for your comments and good luck.

Modeling/Texturing: Average, it is hard to see the details and quality of modeling. The organic pieces are impressive. There is an interesting take on the structure. The use of texture on all surfaces is nice, and overall both modeling and texturing is well done but it’s hard to see details to get an overall sense of the space.
Lighting: The lighting lacks depth and contrast
Composition: The composition is nice and it works well. There are a lot of good elements arranged in a thoughtful way to create a balanced foreground, middle ground, and background.
C/O/D: Technically nothing jumps out as “wow”
Unity: All elements look like they’re from the same hand so it fits together nicely.
Brief: There is a nice sense of organic growth and water but boat and figures seem out of place. The bridge also looks a bit odd.

Modeling/Texturing: Good, but too clean - so clean in places that the scale is lost.
Lighting: Good for the effect you're after, but I'd like to see more variation in lighting levels to aid the composition.
Composition: The camera's wide-angle lens is creating a lot of distortion, particularly in the upper left corner. It also has the effect of overly emphasizing the foreground (and especially the figure at the lower left) at the expense of the dome itself.
C/O/D: The creativity & originality are the strongest aspects of the image. It is definitely an original and unique take on the program, and for the most part the lighting and mood support the vision. Technically, it's not a standout though.
Unity : The image and the design are well unified. The foreground and mid-ground elements seem to belong in the scene.
Brief: The rendering seems consistent with the brief, except that the viewpoint doesn't do as good a job as I'd like of explaining the inside of the dome itself.

Exotic. We like the organic nature of the space and the platforms. But the rendering seems pretty busy - some more simplicity might pay off in a big way here. The composition is quite nice and we particularly like the way people are used. It's difficult to judge the lighting here - you're definately going for an effect, but the image would benefit from some more contrast. We especially like the organic design, but weren't wild about the camoflage look of the skylight.

The image has a strongly unified look and admirably responds to the brief.

Wow lots of detail again - interesting take on the structure. The image needs a little more depth - all a bit flat right now - more contrast and darker tones in the foreground. The foreground figure is distracting away from the focus in the mid-ground.

A nice interpretation of the space. I like things that are a little different.
Its a great pity that the light quality has let the image down, there is alot of detail in there, but it all seems to get washed away. This would have worked much better with more contrast and light streaming into the space, highlighting the scale and complexity.
Again, like the others, rocks and nature bits seem to lack good modelling and mapping.
