Hi. Brand new vray user here.
I'm onto the Aversis material tutorial http://www.aversis.be/extra_tutorial...ettings_01.htm and stuck on step one! My materials and scene just seem way too overexposed. No matter which setting, that first orange teapot seems to have a neon glow. I've gone through the settings many times to verify it's exactly as the tutorial suggests, and even tried adjusting some settings to no avail. I realize that there is a huge amount of reading/discussion about the gamma/exposure/linear issues that I need to learn, but what baffles me is that this being a basic tutorial, the author mentions nothing of adjusting those levels to get his first result. Therefore, I figure I'm missing some very basic setting right off the bat (GI?). It even looks like he's using the default image buffer. BTW, I'm using Viz 07 and Vray 1.47.03. ![]() |
