file link ADT window/door

Hello,
I have a question about file linking an ADT file to max. In ADT I made some AEC windows, I file linked the file in max. But my problem now is that when I want to select the frame of that window to put some kind of material on, I get the hole window (frame+glass)... so it acts like a block.
Is there a way to file link AEC windows/doors/railings so that you can select the elements seperatly?

There's an option when you link the dwg under the advanced tab, that says "create one scene object for each ADT object" if you uncheck that, you'll get the different components.

Let's say that I have only one window and I want to select the glass from it in max. How do I do that? Is it possible to select only the glass from my aec Window or will it always remain as a block (frame + glass)?
