I am using Lightscape on WIN XP Pro.
RAM 1GB HDD 60GB Graphics 256KB Right after I load a photometric light I always get this error message: <lscape.exe - Application Error - The instruction at "0x18b83110" referenced memory at "0x18c91a60". The memory could not be "read".> Only the values of the memory address keep changing time after time. But I always get the same error. And it never happens with any other program!! What could it be?

if you use the LSRAD command does it work? Also have you tried to isolate just that photometric web file or luminaire? Either import the rest and load the photometric web file inside LVS oor use max/viz to do it for you. lastly you can always use LVS to import the actual photometric web file and INSPECT the IES file itself and resave it.

I don't even get the chance to run anything. As soon as I load an IES light the program makes the error. I have tried with many files. I have audited files against the IES format. I have even written .ies files with just the amount of data that LS needs. Nothing works. So I have changed my computer and now it works OK. But I have a new "error": I must keep pressing F5 to redraw the screen after any change, even selecting or deselecting a block, a plane, or a luminaire. Have a nice day.

Change your video driver. I remember an error like this years ago but I no longer remember how to solve it. All this info was in the Lightscape help/technical support pages of old Discreet. Maybe Jeff has them?

I remember reading on the forums that all the lightscape help and support pages were handed over to cgarchitect.com. Any chance we might be able to view them in the near future?
