JAVB,

VIZ has certain advantages in modeling
but it is a "surface" or mesh modeler.

Autocad has solids to work with (3d faces too)

VIZ has more capabilities for curved objects
Acad has more precision (imho) it is a matter of choice

all of the Textures, Lighting, landscaping, and then the
background environments maps will have to be added in VIZ

if you had the full Autocd2004 you could use the VIZ render (which i have NO experience with)

hopefully someone who has ADT can add to your efforts

you can use LT for the original polylines
then extrude in VIZ, this should work well

another is to render the building and then make a composite Image in FotoChop
