dear andy, you have produced a very good image. lighting, texturing, photorealistic character- all r simply superb. i like the image very much.may be a very little thing- the shadows of the cars which are already in the shadow zone created by the building(two cars at the right side of the image) should not be that much sharp.

Andy,
Amazing work. Your foreground and entourage looks incredible. Does anyone have any links to photoshop tutorials for this kind of work? |

Sorry for the late response. Thanks for the feedback.
anindia, you are not wrong about the cars.... i think they could be better.... I think next time they will be (assuming I have a little more time to spend on them :P) cain, I dont know any links offhand that will give you the kind of ar viz info you need, but I can give you some advice based on what i do... 1)Always try to use people that have a very similar lightsource as the daylight in your scene. (sounds obvious, but I still see alot that arent) 2)If they are in sunlight put them through a warming photofilter (under the adjustments section) and a cooling filter if in shade. 3)Desaturate them slightly 4) Very sparingly use dodge and burn to accentuate highlights and shadows..... but go easy, too much and they look very cg. the rest is just tweaking based on your own feeling. hope that helps. |

Yes.... I did a working mans uv unwrap.
In my viewports i selected the topdown viewport and made it fullscreen. I then did a screen capture and pasted that into photoshop. In PS I used the screen capture to trace around the road geometry and create one big road texture. I then mapped it back into viz and when the final render was done, in photoshop I masked a picture of a tarmac runway over it. Finally I made the runway layer multiply and half opacity.... and thats about it. |
