Default Script for incrementally moving camera around object

Hello, I am looking for some help with a Quicktime VR project.

I am currently trying to make a QTVR movie of an object using Max. In terms of stitching etc, I have a method in mind, although it took me quite a while to gather the 36 images by manually moving around the object and rendering every frame.

I set up a target camera, snapped the focus point onto 0,0 and then moved the camera around in 10 degrees increments for 360 degrees, giving me 36 renders. I then saved the images out into a folder.

This was about tollerable for a horizontal QTVR movie, however if I wanted to make a full 360 degree movie, I would need about 1200 frames, which would take me a long time to achieve manually.

I have done some simple batch renders before using the animation slider to change states/positions of the object, but am aware that there are limitations to this still.

Ultimately I'm looking for a way to leave the system running over night and to work through every single frame (saving to a location for use later). I am looking for a piece of script to rotate the camera at increments of 10 degrees horizontally (around the object) from the top of a e.g. golf ball to the base (giving me all the possible shots required).

Is there anybody who could help me with this enquiry.

Many Thanks

B
