A residential exterior for a new development in Leeds, UK. This view is from the exit of the lifts which are housed in a 7-floor "vertical garden" of ivy behind the building.
They are all done with a one-point perspective to give a more architectural feel to the compositions. This was one of 5 images and a marketing movie done for the project, the first ones I've done using Vray 1.5 and the new Sun/Sky/Physical camera setup. A few tweaks were done and the people added in Photoshop. Sam |

This is a really nice image. I got one question though, are the window blinds on the outside of the window? They might not even be blinds, but I would find it hard to draw the blinds closed if they are on the outside of the windows. Great work though

Really great render.
I feel sorry for the people who have to live in those spaces adjacent to the bridge. There's no privacy for them. If they keep their blinds open they'll always be on display, unless that bridge doesn't get much traffic. It's like a zoo for yuppies, lol. Well, some people like to be on display.

Thanks for the responses everyone.
The camera was intentional - we had real trouble getting decent 2-point views of this development because of the size and layout of the space. This more architectural perspective worked much better - I think it gives a really solid composition and shows the building off to its best. The blinds are out beyond the balconies and balustrades, they are electronically controlled from inside. There isn't a huge amount of privacy from the bridges, but you'll only share each with the 12 other flats on each floor - they won't be too busy. You can always close the blinds if needed. The whole building has a fairly open, community kind of feel. And yes, the stairs are in the very centre of the image, with red balustrading. Sam |

Your Render is very nice, I like it. But for some reason that stair annoys me. I a mentally willing it to be open treads, or even better - situated to the left and right.... but bang in the middle.... eek.
*Aherm* Yeah great image though.
