One candle would not put out that much light, and it would not be so focused. Even if it did, the perception people have is of a light that is soft, warm, and constantly dancing about, making shadows hard to see as so hard-edged. i suppose you could take a photo and 'freeze' the light in one place, but that would not match the way people experience a scene like this.
I suggest using several lights set much lower in power and with a much shorter falloff to capture the feeling of your scene more than a literal snapshot might. Also, the wax glow contributes light, that should be shown, and the low light means we would notice the secondary effects much more, like the colored glow the rose pedals would make. Its not just about how it would look, its also about how it would feel. |
