Default Modelling walls and Material Problem

Hi all

I'm having problems assigning material to the house presented in the attached file. As you can see, I used a combination of boxes to build the house and when I assign the material it is visible the existence of different boxes... I could create a surface and use the "quick slice" tool to make the right cuts and use only one shape to model the wall...If so, I get a modelled surface viewing from outside, but If I look behind the wall (interior house viewing) I won't be able to see the cuts I made in the surface

Any help??

Thanks a lot!!

what i see is just a mapping problem. Use the same uvwmap for all the elements. Even more, select all thegeometry with these material and apply a uvw modifier (this would be an instanced modifier).

The mapscaler modifier is always useful, too.

Thanks a lot..Got the problem solved...

Anyway I think it would be much easier to model the house using splines, quick slice tool and extrude... but when I make some cuts, they are only visible from one side of the surface....

Does anybody know why does that happens?

I Have those walls made with boxes and wanted to create holes to put windows and doors...

Thanks,

Regards
