That original spiller article is about 8 years old and perhaps more relivent then with regards to people playing with toys that weren't designed for architecture. I think the industry has matured a lot in that time and technology such as high quality GI and unbiased rendering has grounded the industry which presents photoreal images now rather than the new wave space stations that always seemed to be shiny and on a black background!

I think the blogger is way off in his point of separating of the film and architectural industries, which has been discussed recently on this forum. I worry that he is a bit out of touch with what people like uniform and neoscape are creating. I know there is still a lot of rubbish out there but I think the arch viz industry is a bit more creative and responsible than he makes out.

Just my opinion though!!
