Default Atrium

Guys, putting together a visual of an atrium as shown...still in early stages

C&C on the lighting / texturing etc welcome, and any ideas how to decrease the blotchiness on the walls would be welcome. Its done in v-ray 1.5, IM and LC (I've attached the settings).

You left out your "V-Ray: rQMC Sampler" settings. Most of the noise problems can be solved there.

Thanks Joseph.

The QMC settings are default, I havent tinkered with them.

I've gotten rid of most of the noise by upping my IM settings. Im wanting to get a flyby movie of this scheme, so will post something once its complete (about Dec 2012 )

Hello. Looks promising. I dont know if anyone has mentioned it before but dont forget to raise the sampling on the vray lights (if you are using them). This solves alot of the common noise problems.

looks full of promise and potential for a great final product!!!

needs really really strong sun light streaming in through the upper areas, and some strong contrasty shadow areas.

to speed up the rendering, personally, i'd switch off detail enhancement, turn the gi min and max's to -3-2. to help with lighting, i'd also turn the prim multiplier to 1 and the sec multiplier to 2 or whatever you need. i'd also make the secondary bounding brute force (at 6).
