radiosity processing doesn't even support dual cpu's, so its far away from distributed calculation...
max5 doesn't have the VIZ4 region net render funcion included...
probably it was not reliable enough, since it was not more than a region-render-script-hack...
there are quite a few cool VIZ4 things max5 doesn't have, like perspective correction, create camera from view etc.
however, all thins things are maxscripts which can also be used with max 5...
i don't own viz4, i'd have to copy the scripts from the other office, not sure if its legal to use them with max5 though...
