Default UV map on non-orthagonal multiple objects imported from ADT

when you import multiple objects into max that are not simply square (have sides that do not fall within the xyz planes) such as these columns,

1. how do i uv map the cylinders with a cyindrical map without exploding the objects and applying the uv map individually to each cylinder (there are hundreds)?

and similarly,

2. how do i apply uv maps to the green diamond shapes so that the map is parallel to each face (including the 45 deg ones) without exploding the objects and applying the uv map individually to each diamond?

Try using Mapscaler. It sets the UV paralel to the face so it should get you closer to what you want.
