Ok so you do want to animate in Max BEFORE all the radiosity is done or AFTER? What I mean is u want to have all the keyframes intact BEFORE you actually do any 'solution processing'? For most people all the animation is done AFTER the .ls file is imported into max. I am sorry I am still not clear on what you want to do

o.k. heres the workflow.
I import dxf. file in Lightscape, define materials, lights, textures...initate. Radiostity calculations starts. When its "finished" models is illuminated. Now I want to define camera keyframes, path, where to look, inside of Lightscape. But since Im not very happy with camera options in Lightscape I was thinking if its possible maybe to import ls. file in Max, define camera keyframes, path inside of Max, then export animation path back to Lightscape and render animation in Lightscape.

Thanks for the clarification. However, sorry you can't do this. You cannot EXPORT out of Max an .ls file. Why? because the moment you introduce ANYTHING, any change in a .ls (solution file) it BECOMES an .lp (prepration) file. This is why I told you form the very beginning that you should treat Lightscape as a 'radiosity plugin' for Max/Viz.
Sorry but it is the nature of .ls to not have any changes done even if it is only animation. The key here is to have somebody be able to export From Max an .la (lightscape animation file) based on the keyframes in Max/Viz. Unless Hmm you have the patience of exporting EVERY FRAME in the max animation out as a .VW file? This is similar to what originally done by somebody in Lightscape to show an animation of a door opening. Too bad I forgot his name now LOL I take it that you don't like the way max/viz renders the .ls file? You're not alone

Yes I am sorry I forgot about this maxscript. I have only used it in Max 5.1 tho since I render my animation in Lightwave 5.6 (yeah I know very old) but I like the way it renders my .ls files vs Max. I'd do some tests and let you know

The export of .la file works and its input to max but as I said, when it it imported into LVS, the scale of the imported camera path spline is larger than the .lp file. I have to find out if this is a LVS reference Null issue or something else. But at least there is this path that you can use which is to animate in Max and render in LVS.
