Default Time distance between keyframes

After I created all the keyframes and set the path, how do you define time distance between the keyframes?
In speed graph I can see the default settings: animation lenght 1sec and distance 100cm.
I dont get this 100 cm. If I allready made keyframes and camera path how could I only control how much time will it take to finish one loop in this egsample?

o.k. I manage to solve this problem because I didnt realize that horizzontal lines in SpeedE. represent keyframes and you have abilityy to snap to them
But I still have problem. I always get that "kick" movement when going from one to another keyframe.
I pulled out the handless and made the smoother path (you can see it on the picture above^) but theres still that "kick".
Im using "look in direction" option...

I saw that Christian Bauer had made script for transporting camera path from Max to LS.
If I got it correctly, you define camera path and viewing direction in Max, and then you export it to Ls, right?
So any camera movement that you made in Max will be the same one imported in LS?
Im asking this because this camera options for animation are horrible in Lightscape, expecilay if you have small place and lot of viewing around.

Ideally you should treat LVS (Lightscape) as a 'rendering plug-in' IF you have Max. This means you do all the light placement in max as well as some of the textures (materials) in Max. You export to LVS only to process the radiosity information as well as handle some of the luminaire designations however you should NEVER try to animate in LVS if you have MAX. It is way easier to animate in Max since u can even move the 'LVS Null object reference' inside max which determines how you see things aside form the camera settings.

So the camera settings and such shuld be done in Max. The only thing you should set in LVS is the clipping plane. Good luck! Please let me know if this is pretty vague for you, maybe I can post a more detailed reply.

Not a CHANCE!
I wouldnt buy that peace of shit software even if some would offer it for 10$!
Let face it eventualy you would end up using 40% of it functions for ArchViz!
...but thats just my humble opinion!

Arnoldo, so its possible to define camera path, movements, points to look at, and then just import it in Lightscape and like you said define cliping plane to your likeing.
If you can, could you do a more detailed explenation or maybe a small tutorial to manage my self around with this issue.
Thank you very much!

The script i wrote outputs the max animation to an LA file.
Just try it ...it's a free script.

I personally prefer to calculate the radiosity in lightscape (it still looks better then the viz/max radiosity) and render it then in max.
There is a way to change the materials in max to:
http://www.cgtechniques.com/goodies/..._converter.php

..anyway, the arch materials are sluggish and have bad raytraced reflections.

del, i got an mail from you but it was bounced from your mailserver.

Sorry Del, I am not well versed as to what your workflow is. Does this mean you have Max or Viz? or is it LVS only? Form what you are doing it looks like you want to animate in Max but import it and render it all in LVS? Is this the workflow you want to do?
