Default default process priority

Is there a way to set the default priority of a process to "below normal" instead of "normal"?

Wayne,

Just tested it out, works fine!

If you need to set affinity, you'll need the resource toolkit to do so.

Here's another one that's probably easy. How do I make mental ray's Raysat for Max run as below normal priority? It's a service and it runs under System account so I can't do it in Task Manager. I'd like to run it on some other office PCs without making them slow.

I wouldn't say hard, just annoying. Usually when things start pointing to downloading microsoft resource kits, I try to find other solutions. It used to be that you could download just the file you needed, and not have to deal with all this verification and authorization crap to fix your problems.

I'll see if I can find something on monday...there used to be just some command line you executed...
