Unhappy Can anyone tell me what is wrong?

I have a rendering that I am working on in lightscape and there are surfaces that are partically displaying black even thought you see the texture map. Surfaces are oriented correctly, so not sure what is up.

Help please!!!

Sorry don't know anything about Lightscape but are these surfaces supposed to be glass or chrome? Looks like they could be reflecting your environment which appears to also be black??

Actually the surface is not glass. It should be the same texture map as the other counter surfaces near by. It seems like the surface info just blew up on me.

Can you zoom in and post a wire and a shaded mode.
This might be due "bad" geometry (shadows)

Without looking at your .lp/.ls file it is hard to know. This is why the old Lightscape support staff had a habit of asking people to send them their .lp/ls files to see what was going on. Also can you post an image that has the solution file's openGl view 'OUTLINED' so I can see the adaptive subdivision in high resolution? Can you tell me also what materials those black looking things have?
