Derek Jackson - WIP
Loving the comp so far - it's amazing to see how many different designs can come from the same brief!
Right then, images of the initial base model attached.
I'm going for a curvy, natural form embedded in the slope. The idea is that when the visitors arrive in the atrium they're given an amazing framed view out of the back of the building up to the tower. From there they can go straight to the tower, or stop off in the museum, cafe, shop, etc.
It'll be a very eco building with a green roof and lots of sustainable design features - wind turbines, etc.
The combination of grass roof and curvy form should mean it blends into the landscape, so much so that when you look back at it from the tower, all you can see of it is the framed window rising out of the ground.
Gonna use a viewpoint similar to either image 1 or 2 for the still - I'll make use of the other viewpoints in the animation.
I'm thinking a grey, rainy day for the image - not stormy, just bleak and windy. Lots of muted grey, greens and browns.
